From this episode…
The band whose very name is synonymous with intense and insightful albums, Pink Floyd combined lyrics on the frailty of the human mind with a wholly unique psychedelic rock sound. Their early work in the 1960’s and 70’s was dark and intense and continues to draw in new fans to this day. The band at its founding was comprised of Syd Barrett as frontman, Roger Waters as bassist, guitarist David Gilmour, Richard Wright as keyboardist, and drummer Nick Mason. By 1970, Syd Barrett had succumbed to schizophrenia and went into seclusion, ending his music career.
