LU309

With its unique use of a viola and trumpet, this 2007 rap song is about how innocence can become corrupt with power and destroy. Named after the first chorus, ‘Handlebars’ was written by The Flobots as a comment on the world at the time. They use the building of tempo and volume to match the growing power and destruction being told in the lyrics, and the poetic use of the first chorus also being repeated at the end creates a full circle in the song.
